Al Wootton Mix
Bringing you Tapes #89 is Al Wootton, a producer, DJ, artist and operator of the record labels TRULE and Amidah Recordings. Through his own releases and those on his label he navigates the zone between Techno, Dub, and sparse, hypnotic percussion workouts. He is also one third of the band Holy Tongue.

She’s co-founder of online radio station Rádio Quântica and also resident at mina – a queer rave in unexpected venues. This work permeates Violet’s work as an artist, as she thoughtfully expresses the political history of dance music through her voice and her music.
Hybrid Man Mix
Taking over Tapes #83 is Hybrid Man, the electronic music project of Naarm-based duo Julien Huynh and Will Holden. Formed in late 2018, the pair’s live set suspends time - drawing you in deep for a moment of keen introspection before erupting into euphoric electronica.

Jay Carder’s unique blend of UK bass, techno and breaks has seen her come into her own in 2022 and we’re super excited to welcome her for Tapes #82.
Vladimir Ivković Mix
Long time resident at the infamous Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf and the man behind Offen Music, Ivkovic is someone with a particularly unique talent for selecting records and weaving them into a larger – and often unusually compelling – narrative. Ahead of joining us for his 4th Origins show this December to close out the 10 Year series, Vlad is up next for Tapes #81.
Slacker Mix
Sam Black AKA Slacker is bringing in Tapes #80. Slacker has been winding up a potent strain of needlepoint techno which leans towards jungle and half-time D&B in its tempo and structure. Across a selection of various releases, Black’s sound has evolved into an accomplished and detailed style which draws on moody atmospheres and advanced engineering in the grand tradition of UK soundsystem music.
Blixa Mix
Based in London, Blixa is an Argentinian producer, designer and promoter who works in the team behind the scenes for The Cause and their many projects. Blixa is bringing in Tapes #79 and a preview of what to expect ahead of tonight at 60 Dock Rd. See you on the dancefloor.
IN2STELLAR Mix
Taking over Tapes #78 is Interstellar Fugitives, DJ Sarah and Georgia Bird. A DJ collective born out of Melbourne, they are largely influenced and inspired by 90’s rave and jungle, futuristic electro sounds and breakbeat. It comes as no surprise that they named themselves after the seminal 1998 album from Underground Resistance.
Babylon X Mix
Babylon X is the duo project by MYKI and Olsvangèr. Born through and for their own imprint Tofistock, they naturally unite together for a special need and common feeling to relieve times and energies on the dance floor or as they say the “sense floor”. Taking over Tapes #75, they bring you unreleased music for this high-energy mix.
Marie Malarie Mix
Marie Malarie is joining us for Tapes #73. Best known for their carefully crafted sets, Marie is a resident of one of London’s finest queer nights HOMODROP & Happy Endings at the much-loved Dalston Superstore.
Toni Yotzi Mix
Toni Yotzi is up next for Tapes #72, a staple of both the festival and club circuit across Australia. Her sets traverse four decades of dance music with frenetic energy and zero compromise; from neon-hued techno and prog to tripped out bass and dubstep, trap, and up-to-the-minute club tracks from the boundless fount of domestic talent she’s ingratiated with across Australia.
